Major minced meat packing project produces over 30 improvements

To pack sticky minced meat without any human handling of the product, Embutidos F. Martínez R.S.A. joined forces with Ishida Europe’s Solutions Division. The project delivered three lines, each capable of over 100 packs per minute, at the Spanish processor’s Buñol plant, near Valencia. Each combines denesting, traysealing, labelling, metal detection, seal testing, label reading and ‘pick-and-place’ packing into Eurocrates so as to obtain maximum synergy and optimise interaction with the company’s MIS system. Their combined capacity is over 72,000 kg of packed product per shift. This team effort has introduced over 30 improvements to the minced meat packing process.
